I'm Mars Jackson.

Ever since I was young, I've wanted to tell stories. I spent most of my life obsessing over others, learning the ins and outs of what made them unique. As I grew, I gained new ways to tell mine.

I'm a non-binary cinematographer from Baltimore, Maryland. I began my work in news video- building a portfolio working on everything from local access television to operating multi-cam for radio broadcasts. Now I live in Los Angeles, and my main focus is telling Black and queer stories. Working on everything from short films to commercial content, 

I love that everyday is a new opportunity to use my camera to affect change in the world.
